NC Special Olympics Summer Games – Volunteer Instructions

From Rick Gall:
Fellow KofC Special Olympics Volunteers, I’m writing to remind you about the upcoming NC Special Olympics Summer Games and to share some details.  I have you registered to volunteer during the Awards ceremonies for Softball Skills on Sunday, June 4.  We’ll be at

Lions Park in Raleigh.  Please arrive by 10:15a to check in with a photo ID.  You’ll be issued a t-shirt, which you should wear that day.  Lunch will be provided.  I expect you to be wrapped up by 2:30p.  Because at times you may be in direct sunlight, I do recommend bringing along a ball cap (or hat of some sort), sunglasses, sun tan lotion, and water.  Let me know if you have any questions.  My mobile number is below.

Directions to Lions Park:  Take Capital Blvd inside the I-440 beltline and after passing through a few lights, look for the Lions Park sign (it’s a little small) and turn left on Fenton St.   Go several blocks and turn right on Watkins Street.   Go a block and turn left on Dennis Ave.   Go a block and turn right into the Lions Park parking lot.

We’re looking forward to another great year at the Summer Games.  Thanks so much for joining us!
